The lessons aren’t solely about the physical techniques for defence, sessions include self-awareness games and excercises to explore the mental and emotional states we experience and how we can process, embrace them and cultivate a strong sense of self and empathy for others.
Applied Self Defence classes often foster a sense of camaraderie and mutual support among students. By training together, students develop bonds and learn to look out for each other, creating a more cohesive and resilient school community.
The self-defence sessions instill valuable life skills such as discipline, focus, resilience and perseverance. These skills are transferable to other areas of students' lives, including academic pursuits and extracurricular activities.
